Weave their air-threads into woof, As I listen to the patter Of the rain upon the roof.

Now in memory comes my mother,

Answer:

Subject: Ways to conserve energy

To, The Editor

The Hindu Respected Sir/Madam,

This is Tapasya / Tapas of New Way High School, Jamshedpur. I am writing this letter to highlight the need and ways to conserve energy in India. India is facing an energy crisis due to the increasing population and the ever-increasing demand for energy. We need to take concrete steps to save energy and ensure that our future generations can live without having to worry about energy shortages. Discouraging the unnecessary use of electric types of equipment, switching off lights, and fans when not in use, using alternative sources like solar energy, avoiding decorative lights and using energy-efficient gadgets are some of the ways to conserve energy. Moreover, we must also promote the use of public transport, carpooling and cycling as these are more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient ways of transport. We must also educate our children about the importance of energy conservation and inculcate in them the habit of turning off the lights and other electrical appliances when not in use. I believe that only if we all come together and take the necessary steps, we can save energy and ensure that our future generations can live in an energy-secure world.

Yours faithfully

Tapasya / Tapas

Question No. 7 Using the inputs given below and ideas from the MCB unit on ‘Children’ write an article in a minimum of 150 words on “Stress on Teenagers”. You are Spandan or Spandana of Class IX, Senior Secondary School, Baroda.

Answer:

Stress on Teenagers

As a teenager, I understand the pressure and stress that comes along with the transition from childhood to adulthood. With the increasing expectations from parents, peers, and teachers, teens like me feel the pressure to perform better and excel in every aspect of our lives. This stress often leads to mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and even suicidal thoughts. According to a study, teenagers who are subjected to more stress are more likely to have poor academic performance, physical health issues, and difficulty in forming relationships. There are various ways to cope with stress. Talking to a trusted adult and engaging in physical activities like running, swimming, or playing sports can help in releasing the tension. It is also important to set realistic goals and take breaks from time to time. I also believe that sleeping and eating schedules should be maintained to stay healthy and energetic. At the same time, adults should talk to us about our worries and listen to us without judgement. This would encourage us to be honest and open about our feelings and help us to stay grounded in difficult times. Overall, it is important to remember that stress is a normal part of life and can be dealt with by taking the right steps. We, as teenagers, should strive to create a positive environment and support each other in times of need.
